Why the 7 seals have nothing to do with 7 chakras: Separating biblical truth from spiritual trends

The 7 seals in the Bible and the 7 chakras are two different things.

The scroll with 7 seals which is written in Revelation 5 is a series of catastrophic events that only Yeshua is worthy to open. The opening of the 7 seals marks the beginning of the end times prophecy. It signals that the world is approaching its final days, leading to the second coming of Jesus Christ and the final judgment.

While the chakras, or chakra system, is a teaching that originates in the oldest Hindu texts called the Vedas, which date back to around 1500 to 500 BC. Experts say that the word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit which means “wheel” or “cycle”. The traditional explanation of this is that chakras are described as “wheels” within the subtle body, which are thought to spin in circular motion, channeling energy throughout the body.

According to ancient spiritual and yogic traditions, all human beings have chakras. There are seven chakras and each chakra corresponds to specific areas in the body. Six of them are found along the spine and the seventh is located at the crown of the head.

These chakras depend on prana to spin and function effectively. What is prana? Prana is a Sanskrit term which translates to “life force.” It is an unseen energy that sustains all living beings and is considered as the foundation of existence.

Prana enters the body through breath and then flows through the chakra system via nadis, or subtle channels, to provide the chakra the energy it needs to spin. When these “wheels” spin, it channels the energy throughout the body, governing and affecting different aspects of a person’s well-being.

Given that prana sustains the chakras within the subtle body; however, the condition of chakras also affects the entrance and flow of prana throughout the energy system. When chakras are open and balanced, life energy can flow through them and the areas in your body will function harmoniously. Not only that, balanced chakras can help you connect to the universe and experience a deeper sense of purpose and spiritual growth. However, if chakras are blocked, it will delay the flow of prana in the energy system which leads to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual imbalances. Furthermore, it was said that diet plans, meditations, affirmations, yogas and healing crystals can help activate the chakras or restore chakras into balance.

In conclusion, the 7 seals in the Bible have nothing to do with the 7 chakras. The 7 seals is a teaching in Christianity while the 7 chakras comes from Hinduism.

No Such Thing As Earth Angels: A Simple Look At the True Origins of Angels

Earth angels do not exist. Here’s why:

  1. Major ancient belief systems such as animism and totemism, and earliest major religions such as ancient Mesopotamian religion, ancient Egyptian religion, ancient Greek religion, ancient Hinduism religion, ancient Chinese religion and Zoroastrianism never mention the concept of angel nor mention the term itself. They believe in gods, spirits, demons and supernatural beings. But they never taught about “angels”. Judaism is the only ancient religion to ever introduce the concept of “angels” by calling them malakh or malakhim in texts like the Book of Genesis, which means “messengers” of God. In the fullness of time, Christianity, Judaism’s sister in faith, inherited and expanded the concept of “angels”. When the Hebrew Bible was translated into Greek around the 3rd to 2nd century BCE, the Hebrew word malakh was rendered as angelos, which also means “messenger”. Later, this became angelus in Latin, and eventually “angel” in English.

  2. According to the Bible, used in Judaism and Christianity, humans and angels are two distinct beings. Man is composed of spirit, body and soul. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) While angels are just spiritual beings created by Yahweh to serve Him in heaven. (Hebrew 1:14) They did not receive physical bodies, because they are only meant to exist as angels. Angels are only given bodies as a temporary means to execute their mission on Earth. After fulfilling their minor task, they’ll go back to heaven right away. God, the Source, will not change His mind and give them physical bodies, because the creation of spirits are fixed. If they are only created as spirits, then they will never, ever receive physical bodies at all. So, here is what I want to know. If these “supposed” Earth angels are said to be born as human beings, where did they get the body they have been inhabiting for years?

  3. According to the Hebrew Bible, the Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilee, and the Book of Jasher, the 200 angel watchers who disobeyed Yahweh by marrying the daughters of men are the last angels to live on Earth. Not soon after, the 200 angel watchers were immediately removed and imprisoned in hell, waiting for their judgment in the second coming of Jesus Christ. After that, God gave his last warning to the remaining angels, that if they ever had plans crossing their boundary just like what the 200 angel watchers did, they would be punished just like them. If there were angels on Earth right now, they would have been taken out of Earth a long long time ago. They might never even reach adulthood in the very first place. So, I don’t know what these New Agers are saying that there are “Earth angels” existing on Earth to help humanity ascend to 5D consciousness, when Judaism itself never supported such an idea. Obviously, New Agers are just pushing doctrines they just invented themselves, and treat it as a universal truth.

  4. Many hypnotherapist and past life regressionist would claim that their client is an “Earth angel” and “such”, because that is his/her findings throughout the sessions. Well, that actually makes them unprofessional and unethical. Why? It’s because hypnotheraphy and regression therapy are not objective facts. Hypnotherapy and regression therapy is only a therapeutic tool used to access a person’s subconscious mind to help manage issues like anxiety, phobias, pain, habits and trauma. Briefly, hypnotherapy and regression therapy is meant for healing, not something you seek to locate facts such as the the creation of your spirit, or your soulmate. Furthermore, practitioners only access the subconcious mind of their client which are either influence by prior knowledge, suggestion, belief system and etc. Practitioners only use verbal communication, imagery and hypnosis throughout the session. They don’t use advanced technology throughout the sessions. Correspondingly, whatever metaphysical claims that clients say during hypnosis isn’t guaranteed to be factual, because there is no high-performance systems to verify if their statements are true. This is why practitioners don’t have the right to confirm whatever their client are saying throughout the session. Here’s something puzzles me — How did some practitioners verify that their clients are ascended masters, Earth angels, starseeds, twin souls without using an advanced technology or computer to see the creation of the soul or journey of their client’s soul?

  5. Astrology cannot prove or determine if someone is an Earth angel. Astrology is just a belief system based on the idea that the positions and movements of celestial bodies like planets and stars influence human personality., behaviour and life events. It is considered a symbolic or interpretive practice rather than a proven science.

  6. Meditation also cannot prove if someone is an Earth angel. Meditation can lead someone to feel things deeply, have visions or connect with what they believe is their higher self or angels. But what it reveals is subjective, not verifiable fact. Why does that happen? During meditation, especially long sessions, the brain can enter a dream-like or trance-state, which can bring up symbolic or emotional imagery, and create a sense of receiving messages. It can feel incredibly real, which is why during meditations, some people believe they’re seeing their true form, spirit guides, or divine truths such as identifying themselves as an “Earth angel”.

  7. Angel number is just a number—like 911 or 999—that appears in everyday life. On its own, it has no special power or meaning. The reason some people trust or believe in angel numbers is not because of the number itself, but because of the meaning New Agers choose to assign to it based on their spiritual beliefs. Just because you keep seeing 911 or 999 doesn't mean you are an Earth angel.

  8. Aura reading is based on the idea that there’s an energy field around the human body. Aura reading claimed that Earth angels are said to have soft, glowing or light-colored auras (white, light blue, gold). They said that only intuitive people can see the “auras”. But in real science, especially physics, there is no verified energy field like that. According to them, human bodies have measurable electromagnetic fields, but they are weak, colorless and can’t be seen or interpreted emotionally. That said, the aura colors are subjective and symbolic, not objective or measurable.

  9. Numerology states that your birth date reveals your life path number, which supposedly tells you your soul’s mission or spiritual traits. According to New Agers, people with certain life path numbers are “Earth angels” based on the meaning of those numbers. Here’s the truth, numerology is not based on science. It’s just a symbolic system developed thousands of years ago and tied to mystical belief, not evidence. Just so you know, you can take any number and assign meaning to it, but it doesn’t make the meaning true.

  10. Tarot readings cannot prove you are an Earth angel. Tarot readers only claim you are an “Earth angel” through symbolic cards and your “supposed” energy during the reading. They might say you are an “Earth angel” if the reading shows signs of spiritual purpose, empathy or healing gifts. Certain tarot cards that are often interpreted as “Earth angel signs” are Temperance, the Star, Judgment, the Empress and the High Priestess. However, all these things are just subjective. It is not real, not verifiable and not provable. Tarot readings are not evidence of a real spiritual status.

Earth angel is just an invention of the New Age movement starting the 20th century CE. The New Age picks ideas from Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and other religions, then blends them together to make it seem like all these religions are teaching the same thing. But in truth, each religion stands on its own, with distinct beliefs, and none of them ever claimed to be one with the others.

No Ancient Source Confirms Soul Splits (Let's stop pretending they do.)

“Twin flames” as “split souls”, and was bound for spiritual union, is just a “modern thing” invented by New Age movement in the 20th century CE. The concept borrows inaccurately from older traditions like Plato’s Symposium, Kabbalistic Judaism, Hinduism, Sufism and Gnosticism which are either symbolic, misinterpreted, or rejected by scholars!

Now, let's revisit the sources.

1. The Symposium of Plato (written around 385-370 BCE)

The Symposium of Plato is proven to be literary fiction. Not only that, Plato never said that it was the soul which was split into 2 by Zeus.

Let me explain:

According to a philosophical myth told by Aristophanes in Plato’s Symposium, humans were originally round-shaped beings with four hands and four feet, one head with two faces, which faced in opposite directions, four ears and two private areas. There are three types of human beings, and these are male-male, female-female and male-female. These beings were so powerful and proud that they began to challenge and threaten the gods with their strength and arrogance. Alarmed by this, Zeus split them in half to weaken and humble them. Since then, everyone has been in constant search of their other half to become whole once again.

In Symposium (189e-190d) it says:

(189e) The form of each person was round all over, with back and sides encompassing it every way; each had four arms and legs to match these, and two faces perfectly alike

(190a) on a cylindrical neck. There was one head to the two faces, which looked opposite ways; there were four ears, two privy members and all the other parts, as may be imagined, in proportion. The creature walked upright as now, in either direction as it pleased and whenever it started running fast, it went like our acrobats, whirling over and over with legs stuck out straight; only then they had eight limbs to support and speed them

(190b) swiftly round and round. The number and features of these three sexes were owing to the fact that the male was originally the offspring of the sun, and the female of the earth; while that which partook of both sexes was born of the moon, for the moon also partakes of both. They were globular in their shape as in their progress, since they took after their parents. Now, they were of surprising strength and vigor, and so lofty in their notions that they even conspired against the gods; and the same story is told of them as Homer relates of

(190c) Ephialtes and Otus, that scheming to assault the gods in fight they essayed to mount high heaven.

“Thereat Zeus and the other gods debated what they should do, and were perplexed: for they felt they could not slay them like the Giants, whom they had abolished root and branch with strokes of thunder—it would be only abolishing the honors and observances they had from men; nor yet could they endure such sinful rioting. Then Zeus, putting all his wits together, spoke at length and said: ‘Methinks I can contrive that men, without ceasing to exist, shall give over their iniquity through a lessening of their strength.

[190d] I propose now to slice every one of them in two, so that while making them weaker we shall find them more useful by reason of their multiplication; and they shall walk erect upon two legs. If they continue turbulent and do not choose to keep quiet, I will do it again,’ said he; ‘I will slice every person in two, and then they must go their ways on one leg, hopping.’ So saying, he sliced each human being in two, just as they slice sorb-apples to make a dry preserve, or eggs with hairs;

Symposium 190d makes it crystal clear that it is the body, not the soul, that was split by Zeus.

Notice that Aristophanes clearly describes the original human beings in 189e–190a as physically double-bodied, with four arms, four legs, two faces and so on. Then in 190d, humans began to attack or rise up against the gods, which were believed to be humans trying to dwell in the heavens, that is why Zeus decided to split them in half so that each would walk on two legs to weaken them. He even warns that if humans continue to be arrogant, he will divide them again, making them walk on one leg. This detailed anatomical description leaves no room for interpreting the split as merely symbolic or spiritual. So, based on both the text itself and common sense, it’s accurate to say that it was the human body that was split in half.

Additionally, in Symposium 191a, during Aristophanes’ speech, it says:

[191a] For the rest, he smoothed away most of the puckers and figured out the breast with some such instrument as shoemakers use in smoothing the wrinkles of leather on the last; though he left there a few which we have just about the belly and navel, to remind us of our early fall. Now when our first form had been cut in two, each half in longing for its fellow would come to it again; and then would they fling their arms about each other and in mutual embraces

Aristophanes uses the phrase “our first form had been cut into two” but he never says “soul.” Therefore, the “halves” refer to bodies that were physically split by Zeus.

If this sounds familiar, it's because I already tackled it here.

2. Kabbalah Jewish Mysticism

Kabbalah is considered unreliable, because it is not part of the original scriptures of traditional Judaism, and was only written in the 12th to 13th century CE by Jewish mystics, not prophets.

Kabbalistic Judaism does teach that the soul can be “split” or rather divided into different parts or levels, and also that a single soul can be connected to multiple people in different lifetimes or relationships.

Let's break it down.

a. According to Kabbalah Judaism, there are 5 levels of the souls. These are — nefesh, ruach, neshama, chaya, and yechidah. It is written:

Viewed from the point of view of man's service to G‑d, these levels of soul may be described as five ascending levels of awareness of, and communion with, G‑d. They are called (in ascending order) Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Chaya and yechida.

Here's the thing: How can they say that there are 5 levels of the souls, when the Hebrew Bible never mention it at all?

Simple. They are making their own doctrine.

According to the Hebrew Bible, the soul is one unified being.

As Genesis 2:7, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The term "living soul" comes from the Hebrew word נֶפֶשׁ (nephesh) which means "living soul, life, soul, living being, breathing creature".

Adam didn't receive a multi-layered soul. Adam become a single living being.

Nowhere in the Book of Genesis does it written that the soul has layers or levels. Because if it has, Yahweh will make sure to mention it!

b. According to Kaballah Jewish Mysticism, a single soul can divide into multiple roots and sparks.

It is written:

When we speak of a certain person reincarnating into other people, we must not make the mistake of thinking that this refers to the "original soul." Rather, a person’s soul can divide into an unlimited amount of roots…

They got it wrong. The Hebrew Bible never said that our soul is a sparks of Adam, nor the Bible said Yahweh let Adam shared his soul with Eve.

Genesis 1:27 writes, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The Bible is clear that God gave Adam his very own soul.

When God has decided to make a woman. He cause the man to a deep sleep, then he fashioned Eve from one of Adam’s ribs. It was never said that God caused Adam to sleep, and split his soul into 2. Eve is a different creation taken from the ribs of Adam. Therefore, Eve received another soul, her very own soul.

3. Hinduism

In traditional Hindu tantric cosmology, it was never said that Shiva and Shakti are half souls. Instead, these 2 are said to be complementary aspects of a single divine reality. Shiva represents pure consciousness, while Shakti represents life force or divine energy. They are like consciousness and energy working together as one to manifest and sustain the universe.

Not only that, Bhagavad Gita 2.23-25, a foundational scripture in Hinduism, states that you can’t divide, harm and split the soul.

Bhagavad Gita 2.23-25,  Weapons cannot shred the soul, nor can fire burn it. Water cannot wet it, nor can the wind dry it. The soul is unbreakable and incombustible; it can neither be dampened nor dried. It is everlasting, in all places, unalterable, immutable, and primordial. The soul is spoken of as invisible, inconceivable, and unchangeable. Knowing this, you should not grieve for the body.

4. Sufism Mysticism

Sufism is a form of Islamic mysticism that uses deeply poetic language and symbolic language to express love, longing and closeness with Allah, or resonation with someone, but New Agers mistake it as “twin flame ideas”. Islam never taught about the split soul concept, and neither does Sufism.

Here's a list of the top Sufi mystic writers: Rumi (Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi), Hafiz (Khwāja Shams-ud-Dīn Muhammad Hāfez), Rabia al-Adawiyya, Attar of Nishapur (Farid ud-Din Attar) and Ibn Arabi.

Among these Sufi mystics, Rumi is by far the most famous — especially in the modern world. But the funny part is — Rumi is the most quoted, and also the most misunderstood!

Here are some well-known Sufi verses especially from Rumi which are often misinterpreted as referring to "split souls", but are actually about the soul's yearning for God.

One famous line is from his poem known as “A Moment of Happiness”:

A moment of happiness, you and I sitting on the verandah, apparently two, but one in soul, you and I.

But when we look deeper, this isn’t about two romantic souls finding each other again. Rumi was a Sufi mystic, and in his writings, the “you” and “I” dissolve into Divine oneness. It’s spiritual, not romantic. The poem is about being unselfed—about losing your ego in the love of God.

Another example is Rumi's The Minute I Heard About My Love Story:

The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along.

This is often taken to mean "one split soul in two". But Rumi is speaking about divine presence within and the unity of souls with Allah, not about split souls.

Rumi also once wrote in Divān-e Shams-e Tabrīzī:

That moment (is) joyous and blessed when we are sitting
(together) in the veranda, you and I; with two forms and faces,
(yet) with one soul, you and I. (Ghazal 2214)

The verse does not teach two people are literally one split soul.

When Rumi says: With two forms and two faces, but with one soul, you and I.

Rumi is speaking symbolically. These are two different people whose inner selves resonate deeply — whose vision, love or spiritual presence align.

Here are some clear Qur'anic verses that emphasize all humanity originates from a single soul, illustrating that the soul is created whole — not split:

Surah An-Nisa 4:1, O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it it's mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
Surah Al-A'raf 7:189, It is He who created you from one soul and created from its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, "If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful.
Surah Adh-Zumar 39:6He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight pairs. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?
Surah Al-An'am 6:98, And He is the One who originated you from a single soul, then assigned you a place to live and another to ˹be laid to˺ rest. We have already made the signs clear for people who comprehend.

5. Gnosticism

Gnosticism uses symbolic, spiritual language to describe the soul’s separation from spiritual wholeness, specifically in the Gospel of Philip, where Adam and Eve was used as symbolic figures, but it does not support the modern idea of half souls.

As recorded in the Gospel of Philip, a Gnostic text written around the mid-3rd century CE and was translated by Wesley W. Isenberg:

“When Eve was still with Adam, death did not exist. When she was separated from him, death came into being. If he enters again and attains his former self, death will be no more.” (57)

New Agers have used this text to explain the idea that Adam and Eve were split souls. But the Gospel of Philip never claim such thing. In reality, it is just symbolic. The text actually pertains to union and sudden separation of God and the soul.

It simply states that before the fall, Adam lived in unity with God. When Adam sinned after being influenced by Eve, death entered the world. Through faith in Jesus Christ, that broken connection between man and God is restored, and we are no longer bound to spiritual death but was offered eternal life with God.

The same idea is expressed in:

Gospel of Philip 65, If the woman had not separated from the man, she should not die with the man. His separation became the beginning of death. Because of this, Christ came to repair the separation, which was from the beginning, and again unite the two, and to give life to those who died as a result of the separation, and unite them. But the woman is united to her husband in the bridal chamber. Indeed, those who have united in the bridal chamber will no longer be separated. Thus Eve separated from Adam because it was not in the bridal chamber that she united with him.

Another New Age misconception is Gospel of Thomas

Gospel of Thomas 22, Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the kingdom."

They said to Him, "Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?"

Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below; and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female... then you will enter the kingdom.

This saying is symbolic, not literal. It uses poetic language to describe spiritual transformation:

"Make the two one".

Not about two people (like “twin souls”).

It means unifying divided parts within yourself — like the dualities of:

• Light/dark

• Inner/outer

• Male/female

• Body/spirit

"Male and female one and the same".

Again, not about soulmates.

It’s about transcending earthly categories (gender, ego, dualism) to become spiritually whole.

"Then you will enter the kingdom".

The Kingdom is symbolic of spiritual awakening — a return to unity with God, not finding your other half.

In Apocryphon of John, also called as the Secret Book of John, Sophia, one of the Aeons, wanted to create without her male counterpart (syzygy). Because of this unauthorized act, she brought forth a flawed being: Yaldabaoth, the Demiurge. It is written:

And the Sophia of the Epinoia, being an aeon, conceived a thought from herself and the conception of the invisible Spirit and foreknowledge. She wanted to bring forth a likeness out of herself without the consent of the Spirit, - he had not approved - and without her consort, and without his consideration. And though the person of her maleness had not approved, and she had not found her agreement, and she had thought without the consent of the Spirit and the knowledge of her agreement, (yet) she brought forth. And because of the invincible power which is in her, her thought did not remain idle, and something came out of her which was imperfect and different from her appearance, because she had created it without her consort. And it was dissimilar to the likeness of its mother, for it has another form.

New Age movement interpretation twist it. They say: “Look! When Sophia separated from her consort, it caused a fall — so souls must be created in male-female pairs and need to reunite.”

They interpret the Aeons’ paired structure — like Christ & Sophia, or Depth & Silence — as proof that your soul also has a male or female twin, and you need to find it.

Let's be direct: In the Apocryphon of John, Sophia's fall started on her mistake of creating without her consort that resulted in spiritual order, not the splitting of one soul into two. The consequences are the loss of divine order, and the beginning of the soul entrapment in matter.
